Maybe Time Is like a Snowdrift

March 18, 2020

Dear Subscriber:

Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of view. The theme for this week is spring, which begins on March 21.

I welcome comments on my poems at https://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com .

A Mother’s Day poem in which spring melts the snowdrifts that cover the secrets of time:

Maybe time is like a snowdrift. Spring
Opens up its secrets. And perhaps
There you find what you've been looking for.
Harsh winters wait, of course, but there are more
Ecstasies than sorrows under wraps,
Retained in drifts till their awakening.
