Dear Subscriber:
Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of
view. The theme for this week is fate.
I welcome comments on my poems at https://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com
.
A philosophical number poem for someone who, like a seed,
has been blown by the wind to a distant patch of ground.
For what have you arrived upon
this shore?
In search of what did you once
set your sail?
For you there always has been
something more
That ought to for some greater
good prevail.
Yet life so often tells a
different tale.
So are we like seeds upon the
wind,
Each planted where we fall by
willing chance,
Vested in a fate we can’t
rescind,
Enveloped in the soil of
circumstance,
Now blooming, if we would, as
passion grants.
