Dear Subscriber:
Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of
view. This week’s theme is Halloween, which falls on October 31.
Today’s poem is a Halloween poem about how one cannot help
but feel fear.
I welcome comments on my poems at
http://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com.
Yours,
Nick Gordon
Have no fear of goblins, ghosts, and witches,
And skeletons dancing to macabre tunes,
Lifeless zombies wearing bloodstained britches,
Lighted pumpkin heads in darkened rooms!
Oh, have no fear of werewolves, vampires, ghouls!
Wean yourselves from superstitious fears!
Even though at times we all are fools,
Each whistling a happy tune that cheers
No one, as we still our screams and tears.
