Dear Subscriber:
Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of
view. The theme for this week is fate, fortune, and free will.
I welcome comments on my poems at https://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com
.
A philosophical number poem about the acceptance of fortune:
Fortune comes embellished with small
print.
Of course you get the
product that you chose,
Reasonably like the
one you saw,
Though, perhaps,
distorted by the pose.
Yet of its codicils
there is no hint.
Take it all! Take it!
For who knows
What might have been?
Afoot on any shore,
One who loves the sea
can be content.
