Dear Subscriber:
Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of view. The theme for this week is romantic love.
Today’s poem is a love poem to a lover who must soon leave.
I welcome comments on my poems at http://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com/.
Yours,
Nick Gordon
SUPPLICATION
Let me hold you
In arms like strong winds,
Enfold you with mountains,
Be the warm meadow on which you lie.
In the darklight
Let me hold you
In sleepless flesh,
In wordless flesh
Let me be your silence.
And when you leave me
Let me hold you
With the love of those who love you,
And be the air and sunlight
And the sea in which you dream.
