Maggie

June 5, 2018

Dear Subscriber:

Each week we examine a theme from a variety of points of view. The theme for this week is portraits of women.

I welcome comments on my poems at http://nicholasgordon.blogspot.com .

A name poem for Maggie, a woman who is unaware of her goodness:

Maggie knows no end to her travail
As she finds little solace for her sins.
Giving far more than she has received,
Giving far more than she has believed,
In her there is no sense where grace begins
Even as she lives behind its veil.
